The Pioneer Process

Every Pool Starts
With a Conversation

We keep things simple. No confusing contracts, no surprise handoffs. From your first call to the moment you jump in, here’s exactly what to expect when you build with Pioneer.

01

Scout the Territory

It starts with a free consultation — no pressure, no sales pitch. We come to your yard, walk the space, and listen to your vision. What do you want your backyard to feel like? How will your family use the pool? What’s your timeline?

This conversation shapes everything that comes after. We’re not trying to sell you a package — we’re trying to understand your land and your life.

02

Draw the Map

Once we understand your vision our team produces detailed design drawings tailored to your yard and budget. You’ll see exactly what your pool will look like — shape, depth, features, and layout — before a single shovel hits the ground.

We review the drawings together, make adjustments, and don’t move forward until you love what you see.

03

Secure the Land

Permits are one of the biggest unknowns for homeowners — and the part we handle completely on your behalf. We submit all documentation, follow up with the county, and manage every step of the approval process.

Permit timelines vary by area across Volusia County, but we’ve done this enough to know how to keep things moving. You won’t need to make a single call.

04

Break Ground

This is the part you’ve been waiting for. Our crew arrives and gets to work — excavation, steel, plumbing, gunite shell, tile, coping, decking, equipment installation. Every phase inspected, every detail checked.

We use skilled tradesmen we’ve worked alongside for years. Your build is overseen personally from start to finish — no strangers on your property, no cutting corners.

05

Plant Your Flag

Before we consider a project complete, we walk you through every feature of your new pool — equipment operation, maintenance basics, water chemistry, and anything else you want to know.

We don’t leave until you’re completely satisfied. This is your territory now. You earned it.

Common Questions

Things Homeowners Ask

No question is too small. Here are the ones we hear most often.

How long does the whole process take?

Most Pioneer pools are complete within 12–16 weeks from the time permits are approved. The permitting process itself varies by area but we handle all of it on your behalf.

Do I need to be home during construction?

Not necessarily. We keep you updated throughout the build and will let you know when your presence is helpful. Most homeowners check in periodically but aren’t required on site daily.

What happens if something goes wrong?

We’re fully licensed and insured in Florida. If an issue arises during construction we handle it — that’s part of what you’re paying for when you hire a professional team.

Can I make changes after we start?

Minor changes early in the process are usually manageable. Major changes after permitting or construction begins can affect timeline and cost — we’ll always be upfront with you about the impact.

Who handles the permits?

We do. Completely. You don’t need to call the county, fill out paperwork, or chase approvals. We’ve done this across Volusia County and know exactly how to keep the process moving.

How do I get started?

Just give us a call or fill out the form on our contact page. We’ll set up a free consultation at your property and go from there. No pressure, no obligation.
